Rehabilitation therapy is an essential medical method for the most of patients with neurological disorders.

Physiotherapy is used to diagnose, treat symptoms of illness and prevent musculoskeletal disorders.

Motion medical diagnostics
Special kinesiology treatment and series of tests and physical measurements are used to evaluate range of motion in joints, degree of muscle strength, body motion patterns and postural and locomotor behaviour. A treatment plan is established on this basis.

Medical treatment:
We provide treatment of acute painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system, especially spine, and treatment of post-operative and post-traumatic conditions. We take care of paralysis patients due to peripheral and central nervous system´s injury.

• Cervical pain and low back pain, often with painful root syndrome accompanied with restricted limb function
• Conditions after spine, knee and hip joint surgeries
• Conditions after fractures and joint injuries
• Facial nerve palsy
• Conditions after stroke
• Multiple sclerosis

The aim of medical rehabilitation therapy is to maximise the potential to restore musculoskeletal functions. For this purpose we use following methods:

• Diagnosis and treatment for spinal musculoskeletal disorders by McKenzie
• Sensorimotor stimulation and stabilization
• Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation by Kabat
• Mobilization and soft tissue massage techniques of spine and peripheral joints
• Rib mobilization by Mojžíšová
• Roswitha Brunkow Method
• K-taping

Physical therapy: Magneto-therapy – Diadynamic Current Therapy – Trabent Current Therapy - Interferential Therapy - Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation - electrostimulation - electrogymnastics - therapeutic ultrasound

Rehabilitation therapy is indicated on the basis of a neurological examination in KlinNeuro surgery or of a referral from the primary doctor.

The great advantage is cooperation with an attending neurologist.



Requirements of insurance companies to pay for physiotherapy

1/ FT voucher (i.e. voucher with body shape)

2/ Precise specification of physiotherapy and the total number of required procedures

3/ For physical therapy (therapeutic ultrasound, Magneto-therapy, electrotherapy) precise specification of a procedure with duration in minutes and the total number of required procedures

For this reason, we ask patients who are sent to physiotherapy to check their FT voucher, whether it fulfils all formalities mentioned above. If not, they should contact their primary doctor.
